Honeycomb mug and fruit bowl are the completed fired pieces I talked about in my last post.
I am using the bowl as a fruit bowl right now. I originally thought I’d make a flower pot. The opening at the top is smaller than what would be ideal. But I’ll give it a try.
Tara has already used her mug multiple times for tea. Isn’t it awesome?!

Nice job! Both finished products are beautiful! Happy Thanksgiving, Crystal!!
Thanks, Laurie! I had originally thought just to tack a couple of photos to the end of the original post. However, I’ve been so very busy lately I haven’t been publishing new posts as often as I’d like. This is a way to tackle two tasks at once. I like these two ceramic pieces, also. A satisfying end to a lovely time with my kid.
Turned out very funky and hip! Of course all the more special since you made it on an outing with your daughter. It’s so much nicer to decorate with things that have more meaning than just dropping into a home decor store. I always try to find things on holidays. Also nice that your artful bowl may have a double life and can be used as a planter, good pick. I like the little aqua flower and bumble bee on your daughters mug too since aqua is a bit of a passion with me.
Ha ha! Now that I know a little more about you, of course you would love the aqua flower. 🙂 Thanks for the funky & hip comment, because here in Portland, OR, that’s about the best compliment a person can get. Now that you mention it, I love the idea that my fun day with my daughter will always be brought to mind when we see one of these ceramics pieces.
very pretty pots! looks like a lot of fun to make
They were so much fun to make!
