Over the weekend, we went to a birthday celebration for J.R.R. Tolkien, the famed author.

End of an age

By the end of my thirties though, I am tired. It’s not just hard to live authentically; it’s exhausting.

How does one get up in the morning and go to work, pick up groceries, or celebrate a child’s birthday when bombs are exploding thirty miles away?

Portland has a remarkably high percentage of really friendly people.

How much fun it was today when I browsed through archived versions of my blog and found a year old post titled: My fantasies for 2008.

Look guys, my camera was cutting edge when I bought it. It’s no longer cutting edge.

Nearby people cursed us and pushed us back onto the road. Yay for people!

Who should we look out for? Who should we care for? The answer of course, is everyone.

Where I work, there are so many people who sleep on the streets. I can’t imagine how they’ve survived this week. It must be horrible.

How simple it is to share the love I hold for all of you. If this small gesture keeps our relationships alive, I am glad to do it.
