In August we were pleased to host the Cherokee Nation visit to Oregon.

The Durham Farmers’ Market runs year ’round on Saturday, and during warmer months is also open on Wednesdays. It’s open today at 3pm – you should go!

This is a city downtown where it’s easy to walk to the places you want to be.

I love these purple people and the Portland to Coast.

The tobacco industry was the base of Durham’s economy for a hundred years.

The grandchildren of Zoboomafoo, the lemur star of a public television children’s show that aired from 1999-2001, are living in Durham.

Raleigh, the capital city of North Carolina, holds the largest intact 19th century neighborhood, called Oakwood.

I did not realize that it was on the grounds of the North Carolina Museum of Art. But how serendipitous!

I ignored the Visitors Center and went directly to the trail.
