Completing the Loop

If I went back home through California, my road trip would make a loop.

Old Friends, New Stories

After a visit with an old friend, and travelling through more amazing country, I finally arrived at my destination.

By following the signs, you get to the right places.

I had time to make two stops to see places on the map that had captured my imagination.

I was thrilled to be in magnificent desert landscapes that reminded me of a favourite animated movie.

Day Two of driving was still all about putting more miles behind me, and not taking time to sightsee.

Interested in making good time, I took all my photos through the windshield.

This unexpectedly delightful place to stay turned out to be one of the best things about our road trip.

Road trips are more fun when you stop for a meeting. Especially when you aren’t the one who has to be in the meeting.

I have something in common with Pope Pius II: we are both impressed with big trout.
