Late Start to Winter

Winter snow and ice are dangerous and beautiful.

Bennington Lake Trail

Bennington Lake may actually be a reservoir, but it is still an excellent choice for a winter walk with wildlife.

Despite a threat of wildfire, unlike last year’s visit, this year Montana skies stayed blue.

This is my fourth blog post about this southern Washington landmark and outstanding hiking trail.

I showed up early for Margaret’s birthday party and got to explore Santa Rosa.

We were not the only people eager to hit the muddy trails for a Sunday beach hike in January.

It was a glorious day for a beach hike.

Small things are still happening as they always do. Let’s see if I can catch us up.

There were apparently wild animals afoot.

The scenery was outstanding, the company even better. We had a great day.
