A very old city like this one has many, many sites of interest.

Above and Below Guanajuato

In this post, my focus takes in landmarks that are above the city of Guanajuato, and also below the city.

I think it’s pretty clever and funny to have dogs on the roof.

Our journey was all about the birth of Mexican independence. And family, of course.

I am not used to this kind of welcome, with family scattered all over the same city, and everyone trying to get in on it.

When I saw photos of Guanajuato for the first time, I realized where Pedro got his love of colours.

For any teenagers who may be reading this blog post, your parents wish you would do this sometimes: come up with your own plan if our plan is so bad.

We cut our time in Valladolid short and went to Tulum next.

Valladolid was founded in 1543 by Francisco de Montejo, and named after the capital of Spain at that time.

A cenote is a sinkhole filled with water. They are everywhere in the Yucatán.
