I decided to post today just about the birds and berries I captured while backpacking on Eagle Creek Trail in the Columbia River Gorge.

At Eagle Creek, our indefatigable Mother Nature reminds us that she is more powerful than we could ever hope to be.

My philosophy is that there is potential danger all around us at all times, and that a trail is actually safer than a sidewalk.

“I hate hiking! I don’t want to go! You guys always make me do this stuff and I hate it so much!”
